Kayti and David bought a farm in Culpeper three years ago, and have since turned it into Mountain Run Winery! They are college professors by day, and vineyard owners by night and weekend. I don't know how they have time for it all! I loved getting the full tour, and it's amazing to me how much hard work they have put in to make this place what it is today. They've really thought out every single detail to make an amazing experience for their customers. And so much of the decor and furniture is handmade by them - they're super crafty! If you're looking for an awesome place to get a glass of wine and play a giant game of Connect 4, definitely check it out sometime. And for any future brides and grooms - it's a perfect wedding venue!
We started their engagement session just down the road from the winery at Mountain Run Lake Park. It's such a pretty spot, and it's a favorite hangout for Kayti and David since they live so close!
I just love the pop of blue in Kayti's ring!
There was more than one goose that Kayti tried to befriend while we were there haha. I love this one of her shushing David so she can creep quietly :)
Kayti has by far the best leg-kick I've seen in my life haha.
Of course we had to get a shot with the winery's vicious guard dog :)
Those are little baby grapes!! It took a minute to get the ring to balance on them haha.
How amazing is this tree?! Pictures don't do it justice - it's huge!
This is their brand new ceremony site (overlooking the awesome tree) that was just recently completed. So exciting for their wedding couples this year!
And we finished off the evening the way I imagine Kayti and David spend most of their evenings - with some of their favorite wine :)
Kayti and David are getting married at the winery this fall, and I can't wait to go back!
