I'm so excited to share these pictures from Jenn and Doug's wedding at Mountain Run Winery! The threat of rain ruining your outdoor ceremony would stress out most couples, but these two were calm and collected all morning, despite the impending thunderstorm. And even when the pouring rain came later in the day, they were completely unfazed and were totally happy to pop open the umbrellas and make the best of it.
I should have known they'd be good at handling any wedding day stress because they planned this entire wedding in TWO MONTHS! I truly don't know how they did it, but they obviously make a great team. When I first starting talking to Jenn and Doug, I asked what they like to do together. Their answer was actually "everything." They even said cleaning was fun together, ya'll. Now that is true love. I know these two have an incredible married life ahead of them, and I'm so glad I got to capture the start of it!
Jenn's dress was so pretty, and her mom actually made the corset in the back for her!
Pre-ceremony, there was A LOT of weather app checking going on. We were all on our phones watching the radar, hoping to get the ceremony in before the storm came!
Jenn and Doug didn't want to see each other before the ceremony, so they decided to do what's known as a First Look - No Peek. They didn't actually see each other, but were able to talk and hold hands around the door!
The ceremony site looked beautiful! And I love the giant oak tree on the right.
I loved the expressions on Doug's face as he watched Jenn come down the aisle!
I'm pretty sure Doug is looking up at the clouds here after a giant thunderclap.
These blue fans were placed out on the seats for every guest. Such a great idea because it was a HOT summer day - they definitely got put to use!
Aaaand here comes the rain. So thankful it waited until after the ceremony, and thankful for this pretty front porch to take pictures on!
Jenn and Doug were just full of smiles and laughter while we were doing their portraits. Made it super easy for me, thanks guys :)
Jenn changed into this stunning red dress once it was time to start the reception! So perfect for a bride who is going to be out on the dance floor the entire night.
Shortly after their grand entrance, the guests all started shouting for Jenn and Doug to come back outside - a beautiful rainbow had appeared just behind the barn!
When some relatives can't make the trip for the wedding day, FaceTiming is always an option!
I didn't know it at the time, but this is Doug's game face. That means epic dancing is about to break out.
I remember what song it was - Turn Down for What. Doug channeled his inner Lil Jon and took over the dance floor with some impressive moves!
Thanks for having me Jenn and Doug, and big thank you to all the wonderful vendors that helped bring this beautiful day together!
