Sky Meadows State Park Engagement Photos in Delaplane, VA | Charissa and Sam

Sam and Charissa were just adorable at their engagement session! These two met while in college at VCU, and they got engaged last year at Disney World! Charissa's a huge Disney fan, so Sam knew what he was doing and picked the perfect engagement spot for a Disney lover :) They love hiking together, so we decided to capture that by doing their engagement session at Sky Meadows State Park in Delaplane.

A historic house with rocking chairs on the porch? I could hang out here all day!

We were closely watching the radar, and really lucked out with the weather! Most of the rain moved through the area earlier in the afternoon, and the couple stray rain drops that showed up during our session were easily avoided with a cute umbrella :)

So Sky Meadows not only has great trails for hiking, but it's also an active farm. We had to get photos with the herd of cattle! I will say the humans were a little more excited about the photo opportunity than the cows :)

I'd never been to the Turner's Pond area of the park and I'm so glad we decided to check it out. There's just one short path around the water, but it's such a pretty spot!
