Jill and Shady had a beautiful sunny afternoon for their small wedding at Manassas National Battlefield Park last year. They knew that a big traditional wedding wasn’t in the cards at the time thanks to COVID, so they decided to stick with something small and plan a bigger celebration later. And they planned their elopement in record time - a week after they started planning, they were married!
I’m so thankful they introduced me to this secret spot at Manassas Battlefield - it has since become one of my favorite places to take Rui hiking! It’s so much quieter than the rest of the park, and there are tons of trails through the woods and open fields.
We met their guests in the parking lot, and all made the short hike together to the ceremony spot. Since many of their close friends and family members weren’t able to make it to the ceremony in person, a phone with FaceTime was the perfect way to keep their loved ones involved in the big day!
So much emotion during this ceremony!
These two are both professional ballet dancers, so of course lifting poses were a breeze for them haha!
