Blue Valley Vineyard Engagement Photos | Delaplane, VA | Kim and Ethan (and Scout)
Kim and Ethan love visiting Northern Virginia’s many wineries, so meeting up at Blue Valley Vineyard for their engagement pictures was a great way to capture them in their element! They researched several wineries before finally deciding on Blue Valley because it had the perfect combination of good wine, beautiful views, and it’s dog-friendly. (They wanted to be sure their adorable rescue dog Scout could come along for the photos too!)
And it’s a good thing they brought Scout along because he LOVED it. You can see the pure joy on his face in all of these photos! Kim emailed me a picture after our session of Scout completely passed out - he was exhausted after all our adventures haha.
Kim and Ethan met during grad school in New York, and they moved down to Virginia two years ago. And they actually went to grad school with my friend Lauren from high school! Such a small world. They initially found me via a search on Wedding Wire, and then Lauren mentioned to them that she knew a photographer from New York who now lived here in Northern Virginia…. and the rest is history! So glad that a combination of the internet and an old friend connected me with this awesome, dog-loving couple!
Oh my gosh, now that is a dog who loves his parents!
Here comes that golden hour glow! We seriously had the most perfect night for their pictures.
Not all dogs are cooperative with wearing signs (I know mine isn’t!) but Scout handled it like a champ. He did not mind it at all!
