Rock Creek Park Engagement Session | Washington, DC | Camilla and Brian (and Max)

I always love engagement sessions in the woods! When Camilla and Brian first started dating, they spent a lot of time hiking in Rock Creek Park with Camilla’s dog, Max. So for their engagement photos, we met up at the Rock Creek Park Nature Center and then hit the trails! Brian and Camilla are super laid-back, and we had such a fun afternoon hiking and chatting about wedding plans (and also our mutual love for Lionel Richie haha).

Camilla was previously a Peace Corps volunteer, and actually adopted Max while she was living in Togo. He seems to have fully adapted to life in the States, and he loves hiking at Rock Creek Park!

Max was actually really good about smiling for the camera, but I can’t tell you how often this happens during engagement sessions with dogs - the pup would rather look at their parents than at the camera haha!

Scrambling across rocks and trying not to fall in the creek can be difficult to do while smiling and looking fabulous. But Brian and Camilla made it look easy!

Camilla and Brian had their very first date at a Nationals baseball game, so we had to grab some engagement photos with these “Diamonds are Forever” baseball beers!

These two are getting married this fall at the Josephine Butler Parks Center in DC. It’s a dog-friendly venue which means Max will get to join in on the wedding fun too. I can’t wait!
