State Arboretum of Virginia Engagement Pictures | Boyce, VA | Amanda and Jorge (and Mason)

I was so excited to photograph Amanda and Jorge’s engagement session at the State Arboretum of Virginia last summer! There were a couple reasons. 1. I discovered within our first couple emails that they were also from Western New York and then 2. We randomly ran into each other at an emo cover band concert 😂 So we’ve got the same taste in music and they were totally unfazed by my awkward concert approach: “Hi, I recognize you from Instagram. You hired me to do your engagement photos in a couple months” haha.

And then of course, they brought their adorable dog Mason to the session. I knew we were all going to get along just great!

I swear at least half of these photos had these two cracking up! I love how much they laugh together.

Such a handsome pup. And so good at looking at the camera!

There are so many pretty photo spots at the arboretum - I’m always finding new ones every time I go there!

I had such a fun evening with this little family, and I can’t wait til we can run into each other at concerts again 😃
