Surprise Proposal in Shenandoah National Park | Luray, VA | Matt and Nicole

This surprise proposal in Shenandoah National Park right before sunset was the perfect way to spend a summer evening. Matt and Nicole were visiting Virginia for the weekend, and Matt knew this trip would be the best time to propose! After spending the afternoon at a winery, he convinced Nicole that they should do a picnic at one of Skyline Drive’s overlooks to watch the sun set. With a gorgeous view of the valley below, Matt set up the picnic blanket and then knelt down on one knee!

I’m always super impressed when proposal clients wind up in coordinating outfits! Nicole had no idea she was getting her photo taken that day - how did they do it?!
