Rust Manor House Wedding Photos | Leesburg, VA | Emily and Chris

Chris and Emily’s Rust Manor House wedding was absolutely perfect! This nature-loving couple wanted a venue with lots of green and to spend most of their day outdoors, so thankfully Mother Nature cooperated! They had a sunny day in early fall, just perfect for their outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour on Rust Manor’s lawn. They seriously could not have asked for a more beautiful day.

And while Emily and Chris were planning the best party ever, it was important to them to make their wedding as eco-friendly as possible. Every detail of their day was carefully planned to limit their environmental impact. They chose an environmentally-conscious florist, served a vegetarian dinner, and even had tips for their guests on their wedding website for how they could be more green during the wedding weekend!

Emily got ready in Rust Manor’s bridal suite with her mom and sisters, and got to read a sweet note from Chris ❤️️❤️️❤️️

Their adorable First Look was on the Rust Manor House stairs.

Before the big outdoor ceremony later in the afternoon, Emily and Chris had a small private ceremony with their families inside Rust Manor House. And Emily had the cutest little dress helper all day!

How amazing is the burgundy suit? I love it!

And Emily was the most beautiful bride!

Oh my gosh, the way Chris looks at Emily just melts my heart!

Their personalized vows were so sweet, complete with a dinosaur poem and mention of the climate crisis. Perfectly capturing their personalities!

Emily actually stopped the ceremony at one point because she just wanted to take it all in and look out at their guests! It was the cutest moment.

Their guests surprised them at the end of the ceremony with a kazoo medley!

Burying the bourbon at Rust Manor worked, giving Chris and Emily perfect weather for their wedding day!

They had the best decor to honor their love of the outdoors, travel, and the National Parks!

Emily collects WPA National Park postcards, so they provided the names for each of the guest tables. When Chris and Emily mentioned that they were looking for used adventure-themed decor (less waste than purchasing new), I knew that the little wooden mountains my sister painted for her wedding would be perfect! It was so fun for me to see them again.

Emily’s best friend and officiant reached out to me before the wedding to let me know she had a special surprise planned for Emily during the reception. These two have a long-standing joke about Puma shoes, so Allie bought them both a pair of new wedding Pumas!

Haha, showing off those new rings!

Emily’s parents kicked off the speeches, followed later by her sisters. Heartfelt toasts, but with lots of laughs!

Then it was time for Chris’s friends to give their toast. They went all out with an elaborate video montage (featuring all of the guys with their amazing acting skills) and a sing-along!

Emily and Chris made an effort to hire women and minority-owned businesses for their wedding day, and they put together an amazing vendor team! Major thanks to everyone who made their eco-friendly wedding come to life.
