Surprise Proposal at Lansdowne Resort | Leesburg, VA | Hunter and Emily

This surprise proposal at Lansdowne Resort was the perfect way for Hunter and Emily to celebrate their 6-year anniversary last summer! Hunter said they normally take a trip for their anniversary, so when he planned a surprise weekend getaway to the resort, that alone didn’t raise Emily’s suspicions. He started it all off with a scavenger hunt before their trip - with clues about where they were going and what she needed to pack. Emily was treated to a spa day on their first day there, and then got dressed up for a fancy dinner. But before dinner the scavenger hunt continued, with the last clue leading to the proposal spot!

Emily was so surprised! Hunter did a great job pulling this off.

There were spotty storms coming through the Leesburg area that afternoon, but we lucked out with perfect timing and beautiful sunny weather.

I love how much fun these two have together!

In the spot where Lansdowne Resort typically holds wedding ceremonies, the trees lining the patio had dropped beautiful pink petals all over the ground! And there were even some pink roses left behind from a wedding earlier that afternoon.

I’m so glad everything came together for Hunter and Emily to have the perfect weekend away together, and that they got to go back home ENGAGED!
