Carlyle House Wedding | Old Town Alexandria, VA | Julia and Nick

Julia and Nick had the most perfect wedding day at the Carlyle House in Old Town Alexandria! They both got ready at The Alexandrian Hotel before heading over to the Carlyle House for their intimate ceremony with their closest friends and family. We had tons of time to wander the streets of Old Town for photos (and tacos!) before making our way to Columbia Firehouse for their reception. They wanted to keep their wedding day laid back and stress-free, and I think they totally nailed it!

Alexandria is so special to Nick and Julia since they live in Del Ray, and I’m so glad they were able to get wedding photos around all their favorite spots. And they actually first met in a town called Carlyle! So it was just meant to be that their wedding venue was the Carlyle House.

Those lashes! Julia was an absolutely stunning bride.

And I am totally getting Marilyn Monroe vibes with her dress.

While their wedding guests waited in the back of the Carlyle House, Nick and Julia had their sweet First Look moment on the lawn out front.

Their close friend (also named Nick) officiated their ceremony by the Carlyle House’s iconic blue door. I love this little spot in the gardens!

Awww, gotta love some ceremony tears.

They closed out the ceremony with an eco-fetti toss!

If you want a picture with the Carlyle House cannon, it obviously has to be one like this haha.

Julia and Nick had their wedding day priorities right - a stop for tacos before getting too far into pictures was essential!

I was cracking up because this is EXACTLY what it’s like when my husband and I go out to eat. I’m a messy eater and he has to actually clean up after me hahaha.

Now with stomachs full of delicious tacos, Nick and Julia were prepared from some pictures along Alexandria’s waterfront!

Then we made out way to Prince Street for photos on the cobblestones, and Wilkes Street for the tunnel!

Their wedding reception at Columbia Firehouse was a riot! Between all the toasts and a couple surprise gifts, everyone was laughing nonstop.

Couldn’t have asked for a better couple to celebrate with! Big thanks to all the vendors that helped make Julia and Nick’s Old Town Alexandria wedding day such a success.
