Winter Old Town Alexandria Engagement | Alexandria, VA | Ash and Nick (and Dez)

Ash and Nick’s winter engagement session in Old Town Alexandria was so much fun! They brought along their German Shepherd Dez, who was a total natural in front of the camera. (You can follow Dez on Instagram for more of his cuteness - @goodboidez) Ash and Nick had their very first date in Old Town, so it was the perfect spot to go for their engagement pictures. We started their session on Prince Street to get some of those classic Alexandria cobblestone shots!

You can tell this pup has practice as a dog model! I think the treats being held up behind me also helped, but Dez did a great job posing through the whole session.

Ash had mentioned the type of engagement ring she would like to Nick several months ago but only in passing, but he remembered and got her exactly what she wanted!

So much laughter from these two the entire time!

After a quick outfit change, we made our way down to the waterfront. And these new outfits were perfectly coordinated for this scenery!

It was freezing cold, but Ash and Nick braved the chilly temperatures and it also meant that we had the entire waterfront area to ourselves! That is a rare sight in Alexandria haha.

Dez is so happy his humans are getting married!

These Cowboys fans had to fit in one last outfit change in support of their favorite team! Even Dez had a matching bandana, sporting #88 for his namesake, Dez Bryant.

This happy little family was a blast to photograph, and I’m so excited for Ash and Nick as they begin their happily ever after!
