DC War Memorial Elopement | Washington, DC | Jordyn and Ed

Jordyn and Ed traveled to Washington, DC from Ohio for their intimate elopement ceremony at the DC War Memorial. It’s one of my favorite spots in the city for small wedding ceremonies! And they could not have asked for more beautiful weather with the warm, sunny day they had. A few of their family members and close friends joined in the celebration as well, and they all traveled in from out-of-town too! A destination wedding is such a great way to make memories ❤️️❤️️❤️️

One of my FAVORITE wedding readings is called “How Falling in Love is Like Owning a Dog.” Neal and I had it at our wedding, and I always recommend it to my dog-loving couples! Jordyn and Ed had the poem broken up into a few sections and read by several of their guests. And they went one step further by personalizing it to be about their dog Lemmy!

The colors in this bouquet were just stunning! So perfect for a spring wedding.

I love that Ed decided to get married in his uniform!

When your own dog can’t come to the wedding, you can always take pictures with other people’s dogs that walk by while you’re doing photos!

It was a perfect afternoon for a stroll along the National Mall with all of the tourists shouting “congratulations!”
And I know Jordyn and Ed had a fun couple of days exploring DC before heading off to Montreal for their honeymoon!
